Summary and Values
HCG trainers and facilitators have decades of experience across an incredibly wide range of Equity and Social Justice content areas and within these areas can design talks that meet a range of audience awareness levels. While some speakers have canned talks, we make a point to tailor our work to the specific needs while also helping an audience stretch. Additionally, we do not see these as merely opportunities to dispense information but rather a chance to build community in your organization. For this reason, we often have some measure of audience discussion and engagement no matter the size of the event (even a room of 5,000 people can turn and discuss a question with their neighbor). The foundation of social justice work is care, relationality and connection and HCG talks emphasize these aspects of the work even as we are diving in deeply into some of the heaviest issues of our time.

Let Us Help You Get Started
We have given talks to groups of 40 to 5,000 and are happy to work with an organizations needs to deliver the best talk for any group.
This often depends on some of the specifics of the event, but we do encourage folks to ask questions and critically engage with the talk.
Dr. Hackman, in particular, always asks that she be able to also do a short workshop after a talk in order to give those who want a deeper dive the time and space to engage her and each other. This is typically included in the overall speaker’s fee.
